Holde Agri Invest targets revenues of RON 125 million and EBITDA of RON 30 million in 2025
14 April 2025

Holde Agri Invest SA, one of the largest farmland operators in Romania, is targeting a significant improvement in financial and operational performance in 2025, with total revenues of RON 125.3 million, up 20% compared to 2024, and an estimated EBITDA of RON 30.1 million, more than eight times higher than in 2024. This financial recovery is supported by a favorable agricultural context and rigorous cost management discipline.
„The 2025 revenue and expense budget is based on a careful analysis of available resources, the current agricultural environment, and the recently implemented efficiency measures. All five Holde core farms (Roșiori, Frumușani, Videle, Conțești, and Salcia) are currently showing encouraging signs for this year’s performance. Precipitation levels in recent months have been optimal for crop development. For example, at the Roșiori farm, total rainfall in March exceeded 60 l/sqm, significantly contributing to replenishing soil moisture reserves. Currently, fields are looking very good, and the sowing of spring crops, such as sunflower and corn, will begin shortly. This favorable weather window allows us to start fieldwork in optimal conditions, providing us a strong start for the new agricultural cycle. As a result, we estimate a more than 60% increase in revenues from crop sales in 2025, reaching approximately RON 100 million, and a net profit of RON 5 million,” stated Bogdan Serghiescu, CEO of Holde Agri Invest.
In terms of investment plans for 2025, the company has budgeted a total CAPEX of just over RON 6 million. The main areas of focus include the purchase of agricultural machinery (approximately RON 3 million), irrigation systems, and the development of logistics and storage infrastructure (including silos).
The company also anticipates a substantial improvement in key financial indicators, with an EBITDA per hectare estimated at EUR 1,850, compared to just EUR 214 in 2024, and a significant recovery in operating profit, expected to return to a positive RON 15 million.
“The 2025 revenue and expense budget is the result of a sustained effort in reconstruction and strategic realignment carried out over the past few months by the management team in collaboration with the Board of Directors. We focused on restructuring operations, adjusting costs, and identifying efficient financing solutions, all with the goal of laying the foundation for a sustainable and profitable business model. This year’s estimates indicate a solid recovery, with strong EBITDA growth and a return to profitability, and these results confirm that we are on the right track. Moreover, the current agricultural context is favorable, and the field outlook gives us solid reasons to be confident. We will continue to consolidate Holde’s activity around principles of efficiency, transparency, and accountability to investors, with the goal of building a modern agricultural company adapted to the challenges of both local and international markets,” stated Leonard Leca, member of the Board of Directors of Holde Agri Invest.
2024 was one of the most challenging in Holde Agri Invest’s recent history, as well as for the entire Romanian agricultural sector. In 2024, Holde Agri Invest recorded total revenues of RON 107 million, up 8% compared to the same period in the previous year. Over the past year, the company operated a total area of 16,321 hectares, up 19% from 2023, of which 1,759 hectares were cultivated organically. The EBITDA indicator for 2024 reached RON 3.5 million, compared to a negative RON 9.7 million in 2023. This increase was mainly driven by a significant reduction in production costs, particularly due to lower input prices, especially for fertilizers. The net loss of RON 23.2 million in 2024 represents a 32% decrease compared to 2023 and is mainly attributable to lower operating expenses, optimized operational costs, and a reduction in personnel.
